Spring/Summer 2010

Hello, and welcome to Spring/Summer, all you fans of the tradition of good, old-fashioned rock and roll oblivion, of which STONE AGE is a proud member of the lineage. Pashas of soul, Zen Masters of rock, gurus of the groove and purveyors of old and original rockin' sounds, STONE AGE is poised to rock you to your roots.

It's getting warm, and that's primo STONE AGE season, a time for getting out, enjoying the great outdoors, dancing, and romancing, all elements of the quintessenial STONE AGE experience. What says summer more than hearing your favorite oldies in the driving rain in Pipersville?? Or hot new original songs and sounds just before the glorious fireworks in Warrington (or is it Warminster)?? Or munching on peaches in downtown Ivyland?? Nothing! That's what.

It's been a long winter, and your STONE AGE pals have been woodshedding, learning new tunes, and, most importantly (to us, anyway), have been recording a full CD of original tunes at the world-renowned Spider Studios in scenic New Hope. We hope to have the CD out soon (real soon), and will be previewing most of these new songs at our upcoming spring gigs. The wait is over, if you work it.

So, to begin the scintillating, slowly simmering summer season afresh, we bring to you, our loyal fans, (and a few random others), the current up-to-date schedule of performances for that force of nature known far and wide, and usually quite loudly, as STONE AGE.

May 21 - STONE AGE plays one of the worthiest causes we've ever been associated with, the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund, a bunch of fine people who provide advocacy, education, information, and financial assistance to families caring for terminally, critically, and chronically ill, severely disabled, or seriously injured children. See http://www.dolanfund.org/ for more information. Anyhoo, they're kicking off the season with a barbecue to benefit the fund at the highly classy Normandy Farms resort, where the world-renowned Coleman's Restaurant is located. Fun!! Food!! (Ribs!!) Games!! And not to mention Music (by yours truly, STONE AGE) guarantee a terrific night, all for a good cause. And half of the moderate fee is tax-deductible. Not to mention the good karma. Put it on the calendar right now. 7PM to 10 PM and who knows how much longer than that!!

May 28 - So maybe doing good isn't "your thing". Maybe you've got a date with the devil on May 21. We don't judge you. Maybe you're just in it for the fun. Well, have we got an event for you!! The Hatboro Fun Fair and Carnival is featuring, as it's HEADLINER, none other than your old buddies, STONE AGE. And "Fun" is in the title!! What could be more "fun" than that? Just show up in Hatboro and follow the crowds and the sounds. Another 7 to 10 gig. Details at http://www.hatboro-pa.com/carnival/index.html

May 30 - Private Party. The specifics of which are known only to the select secret circle of STONE AGE sycophants. Sorry, Charlie.

June 5 - Rock on a Saturday morning!! 10 AM to 1 PM to be exact. STONE AGE makes a triumphant return to the charming hamlet of Pipersville, Bucks County, USA. Don't miss a STONE AGE tradition, and we're not referring to the weather, which was pretty pretty pleasant the last go-around. Books, Chicken Barbeque and Bargains galore, not the least of which is US.

June 26 - Yet another private party, the specifics of which are not even clear to several of the band members. At least not yet. But they will be.

July 30 - C'mon downa shaw for the big Long Beach Island Partay, dahlings. STONE AGE has been invited back again to the LBI Foundation for the Arts and Sciences in Loveladies, NJ. This was a blast last time, and that was way off-season. We're looking forward to a dance party extravaganza, with all the good folks down there, which, given a little advance planning, could include you. Go ahead, make a weekend of it. Want more info? But of course: http://www.lbifoundation.org/index.asp
